With Tom Holland’s Wallcrawler set to make his MCU debut later this month in the Russo Brothers’ Captain America: Civil War, there’s now confirmation that the upcoming “solo” Spider-Man movie will also feature some other Marvel names.

Speaking to EW, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige confirmed the news, stating, “He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth.”

Now, of course, previous rumours have suggested that either Iron Man and/or Captain America will be appearing in the Spidey-centric effort, although obviously that all depends on if either of those heroes make it out of Civil War in one piece.

All we know about the still-untitled Spider-Man movie (which is rumoured to be titled Spider-Man: Homecoming) is that Holland’s Peter Parker will be joined by Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as a female lead known as Michelle.

To be directed by Cop Car’s Jon Watts, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios will release this new Spider-Man movie on July 7th, 2017.
