Returning to Nottingham’s
Broadway on October 15th – 18th, this year’s Mayhem Film Festival has revealed
its full programme with preview screenings, exclusive events and special guests
galore.

Joining Steve Oram and his film Aaaaaaaah!, Karyn Kusama’s The
Invitation
, and the exclusive live stage reading of unmade Hammer script The Unquenchable Thirst of Dracula with
Jonathan Rigby, Mayhem also welcomes director Paul Goodwin, producer Sean Hogan
and artists and writers D’Israeli and Ian Culbard for a screening of
documentary Future Shock! The Story of
2000AD
about the origins and history of the radical British comic that gave
us Judge Dredd and launched the careers of a host of British comic superstars.

Also appearing this year are director Paul Hyett (who will
present his new werewolf spectacular Howl and a post-screening masterclass in
making monsters), producer Cassandra Sigsgaard and directors Chris and Ben
Blaine with the haunting Nina Forever,
and producer and director Michal Kosakowski with provocative and fascinating
feature German Angst.

With a total of 17 screenings and events, the programme also
includes the Spanish-Ethiopian post-apocalyptic science-fiction film, Crumbs; a 35mm screening of Brian
Yuzna’s 1989 cult classic Society;
Robert Eggers’ terrifying debut, The
Witch
; punk singer Henry Rollins as an immortal cannibal in He Never Died; the return of the Scary Shorts and the fiendish Mayhem
quiz, The Flinterrogation, hosted by
author of the excellent Sheer Filth, David Flint.
