With a whole plethora of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies announced, it looks as if there may be a slight change of plans where Inhumans is concerned.

Whilst speaking to Collider, Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased that Inhumans could well end up with its initial release date being pushed back. “Since we made our initial Phase 3 announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.”

As a set of comic book characters, the Inhumans have been around since the 1960s, getting their own title in the ‘70s. To sum it up in a very basic nutshell, they’re a Kree-created bunch of superpowered sorts who were left as unwanted and abandoned test subjects. For the most part, the Inhumans, with each being having their own unique power that’s unlocked at a certain age, tend to keep themselves to their own part of the galaxy, also known as Attilan. Whilst they usually mix amongst their own, they’ve been known to help out Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at times.

At the moment, Inhumans is set for a July 12th, 2019 release, although ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is already exploring certain avenues that could and should tie in to the big screen outing. In regards to that particular outing, from what Feige said, we may have to wait a little longer than their planned 2019 arrival.
