With Marvel’s live-action television presence ever-expanding, one new show that’s on the horizon is a Clock and Dagger series. Well this past weekend has brought some news, both good and bad, on this show.

The good news? The Hollywood Reporter has word that Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger now has a showrunner. Overseeing the series will be Joe Pokaski, who’s likely best known for his writing work on Marvel’s Daredevil. Additionally, the show now has a home, with Freeform the network that will be hosting the new series.

As for the bad news, well the show has been delayed a little. Initially tapped for a debut in the first half of 2018, Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger will now premiere in Winter 2018. Unlike regular TV series, this newcomer has actually already been confirmed for a full series rather than go the “pilot” route.

The current blurb on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger reads:

The series will focus on Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, the eponymous Cloak and Dagger, as they learn to use their newly-acquired super powers while also falling in love with each other. Cloak is capable of teleportation through the “dimension of darkness” but can also leave foes stranded in the other world as well. Dagger has the ability to create light daggers with her mind, which she can control as well. Her daggers are capable of both draining life from their rights, or healing them.

Expect more on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger as and when the series develops.
