Many expected him to appear in the film, and it’s now been confirmed that Martin Freeman will indeed be a part of Marvel’s Black Panther.

Freeman, of course, debuted as Everett K. Ross in last year’s Captain America: Civil War. Given how the Ross character is so often tied to Black Panther in the comic book realm, many of us took it as a cert that Freeman would be returning to the MCU when Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa gets his own solo outing.

Now that principal photography has started on the film in Atlanta, Georgia, Freeman has been spotted on location alongside Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o.

This is just the latest cast confirmation for Black Panther, and Freeman joins an impressive ensemble that includes Boseman, Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Kasumba, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Sterling K. Brown, and the always-excellent Angela Bassett.

To be directed by Creed’s Ryan Coogler, Marvel’s Black Panther is currently set for a February 16th, 2018 release.
