With that whole Edgar Wright fiasco now firmly behind it, filming on Marvel’s ANT-MAN is well underway. Whilst Patrick Wilson was one of those to recently depart the project, The Hollywood Reporter has word that INSOMNIA’s Martin Donovan has been added to the film’s cast. No exact details are known on what role Donovan will play, although early indications seem to suggest the character will have an important role to play in the film.

The official synopsis for ANT-MAN reads:

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan off a heist that will save the world.

As well as Rudd, Douglas and Martin, the film will also feature Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, Abby Ryder Forston, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, T.I., and Gregg Turkington.

Directed by Peyton Reed, ANT-MAN is set for a July 17th, 2015 release.
