With Transformers 5
currently in development, Mark Wahlberg’s return for the film has now been
confirmed.

The actor himself was pretty sure of his return earlier this
year, but he’s now given a solid confirmation during a brief interview with CinePop
in which he simply stated “Yes” when asked if he’ll be back for
the next Transformers movie. Wahlberg
played Cade Yaeger in Transformers: Age
of Extinction; a film that grossed a whopping $1.1 billion at the global
box office.

Iron Man’s Art
Marcum and Matt Holloway are currently penning the script for Transformers 5. The franchise’s
director Michael Bay has yet to be confirmed to return for this next
installment, although he’s expected to end up helming the film when it does
arrive.
