Following last week’s news that Laura Vandervoort and Hannah Anderson are a part of this year’s Saw: Legacy, now comes confirmation of another cast member for the eighth in this longstanding horror franchise.

Deadline is reporting that Mandela Van Peebles, star of last year’s Roots and son of Mario Van Peebles, is part of Legacy. Much like Vandervoort and Anderson, there’s no details known just yet on what role Van Peebles will be playing in the film.

What’s interesting is that shooting has actually already finished on Saw: Legacy, but it’s only in this past week or so that the first information is being revealed on the film.

To be directed by Daybreakers’ Peter and Michael Spierig, Saw: Legacy is currently set for an October 27th release.
