Cult TV series Magnum PI is coming to Blu-ray this December from Fabulous Films.

Starring Tom Selleck, the show ran from 1980 for 8 seasons, winning several awards, including Emmy and Golden Globes for both Selleck and co-star John Hillerman.

Created by Donald P. Bellisario (Airwolf, Quantum Leap) and Glen A. Larson (Knight Rider), the official synopsis is:

Vietnam veteran Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) leaves the Navy to take up a position as a private eye and security advisor to famous author Robin Masters in the cultural melting pot of 1980’s Oahu, Hawaii. He is soon living the high life with Master’s beachfront mansion and Ferrari, but soon the idyll is not all it seems and Magnum is drawn into the island’s underworld.

Guest stars over the course of the 8 seasons include Frank Sinatra (all-round legend), Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct), Patrick Macnee (The Avengers), James Doohan (Star Trek), Ernest Borgnine (Airwolf), Angela Lansbury (playing her signature role, Jessica Fletcher!) and – as the voice of Robin Masters – Orson Welles.

Magnum PI: The Complete Collection will be released on Blu-ray on December 12th.
