Reboots have been part and parcel of the film (and TV) industries for decades, though it’s far more commonplace in the last ten years or so. It’s hard to argue with reboots as successful and, what’s more, decent as FARGO, HANNIBAL or PLANET OF THE APES, etc.

There’s no reason then to get sniffy about the upcoming MAD MAX film starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, especially with George Miller, the mastermind behind the franchise in the first place, directing. In fact, if the new movie poster is anything to go buy, FURY ROAD looks set to be a pretty impressive addition to the Road Warrior cannon.

More details are expected at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
