With principal photography due to start next month, the upcoming Blade Runner sequel has added Mackenzie Davis to its cast.

No details are known as to what role the Halt and Catch Fire and The Martian actress will be playing in the sequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1982 movie, but Alcon Entertainment has confirmed that she’s joined a cast that currently features Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks and Carla Juri.

As for Davis, surely we can’t be the only ones who think that she has more than just a passing resemblance to a young Daryl Hannah; someone who was a pivotal part of Scott’s Blade Runner.

To be directed by Sicario’s Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2 is currently set for an October 2017 release.
