We kinda knew it was coming, but now comes word from The Wrap that Luke Evans has finally departed the reboot of THE CROW.

First of all, director F. Javier Gutierrez left the project in the second half of last year, then came a whole host of uncertainty from Evans when asked about his involvement in the picture. The basic summary of what Evans said late last year was that the remake needed to pull its finger out of its backside as he had plenty of other projects being lined up. Now it’s being reported that the actor has finally dropped out of the film.

Corin Hardy is still currently attached to direct this retelling of James O’Barr’s classic THE CROW, which itself was originally a 1989 four-issue series before being adapted to a hugely popular movie in 1994. There then followed a further three movies in the series.
