With Season 2 of Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. set to hit later this year, TV Guide has word that Xena herself, Lucy Lawless, has been added to the show’s ranks. No word on her role has surfaced just yet, although it’s expected that more details will be made available at the “Marvel Television Presents” panel at San Diego Comic Con. That takes place at 3pm on Friday, 25th July in Ballroom 20.

Season 2 of S.H.I.E.L.D. will see the return of Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Butch Whoppercock Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons.

AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to ABC on Tuesday, 23rd September, with a UK airing hopefully following shortly after.
