Last month brought the news that Netflix and DreamWorks Animation were teaming together to bring a new take on Voltron to the on-demand service. Today brings some further details on the return of this favourite of yesteryear.

Via Nerdist, it’s been revealed that the series will be officially titled Voltron: Legendary Defender. As well as that, the show’s official logo has been revealed in a tease-tastic first poster. There’s very little known about the series itself, although expect it to largely follow the format and plot of the previous incarnations of Voltron. Initially airing in the mid-80s, the series centred on a group of astronauts who piloted five lion-based vehicles that came together to make the super-robot Voltron. Following its initial run, Voltron was relaunched in the ‘90s and again a few years ago.

Anyway, enough of that – let’s get to that poster that we mentioned:

Voltron is expected to land on Netflix later this year.
