Deadline is reporting that The Conjuring’s Lili Taylor has been added to Leatherface in a currently unknown role.

The upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre prequel will focus on Leatherface’s early days, with a cast that already has Stephen Dorff, Angela Bettis, James Bloor and Sam Strike on board. Bloor and Strike will be playing a couple of escaped insane asylum inmates, and one of the young actors will end up being revealed to be the future Leatherface. Dorff’s role is that of an unhinged lawman on the hunt for the escapees, whilst Bettis will be playing what is being described as the “mother” of the famed Sawyer family.

Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury are on directing duties for Leatherface.
