With a TV adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s Let the Right One In now in development, the pilot episode has found its director.

Deadline is reporting that Doctor Who and Happy Valley helmer Euros Lyn is the person tasked with overseeing the pilot. TNT is currently developing the series, with Teen Wolf’s Jeff Davis acting as executive producer and showrunner.

Lindqvist’s 2004 novel has already been famously adapted previously, with the stunning 2008 movie of the same name. That in turn was remade for US audiences under the title Let Me In in 2010.

The official blurb on Let the Right One In reads:

Let the Right One In is an eerie drama about a young boy, long tormented by his classmates, who finds solace in a friendship with a charismatic female vampire who appears to be near his age. The vampire settles into the boy’s small Vermont town with her mysterious caretaker, just as a series of bizarre murders begins attracting the attention of law enforcement.

As ever, expect more on this series as and when we get it.
