The hugely popular LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is to be developed into a TV series.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that TEEN WOLF showrunner Jeff Davis and screenwriter and Brandon Boyce will be working on the adaptation for the A&E channel, which is also the US home of BATES MOTEL. This series will actually be adapted from the original 2004 novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist, which has elements that have yet to be fully seen cinematically. That novel itself would be famously turned into a 2008 movie by Tomas Alfredson before a US version of the film, titled LET ME IN, followed from director Matt Reeves in 2010.

To break it down into its simplest form, the tale itself centres on a bullied young boy who strikes up a friendship with the child-like vampire who lives next door to him.

As ever, expect more on this as it develops.
