In a move that will surely emote squeals of joy from many a STARBURST reader, LEGO has officially announced that they are moving into production on the first ever LEGO DOCTOR WHO set.

This rather cool set will feature a LEGO Tardis, several classic villains, multiple Doctors, various companions, and more. After a recent judging decision, it was decided that DOCTOR WHO was the next property to get the LEGO treatment, and even the non-WHO fans out there will have to admit that it’s a pretty cool idea.

The LEGO DOCTOR WHO set has only just been approved so there’s no release date for the set at this stage. Similarly, a WALL-E set will be developed, although submissions for BATMAN: ASSAULT ON WAYNE MANOR and X-MEN: X-MANSION were rejected.
