One of the biggest hits of last year was David Sandberg’s Kung Fury, with the film becoming an instant cult classic and favourite of many a genre fan. Well, director Sandberg has now revealed that a sequel is in the works.
The Kickstarter-funded Kung Fury proved a huge success with fans and critics alike, with its mish-mash of ‘80s staples winning over anyone who saw the film. Sandberg took to his Instagram page with the following:
Accompanying the image was the caption: “Today, Kung Fury turns 1… Today, the future is written… Stay tuned #happykungfuryday”
There’s no details known on Kung Fury II at this stage, and it remains to be seen whether Sandberg will opt to go the crowdfunding route again.
