Kingsman is one of our favourite films of the year so far, and so it was great to hear that a sequel was on the way. Elaborating on that, news has now come out on when the new film will get its cogs spinning.

The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that the current plan from 20th Century Fox is to have the Kingsman sequel start shooting in April of next year. A couple of stumbling blocks, however, are that the sequel is currently without a completed script and that star Taron Egerton is due to start working on Robin Hood: Origins as of February, which would obviously conflict with the April start date for the Kingsman follow-up.

In fairness, it’s believed that Egerton’s schedule can be easily sorted, whilst Matthew Vaughn is currently well underway when it comes to working on a script for the sequel.

All that’s known about this sequel at this stage is that, as per a reveal from Vaughn, the film will largely focus on an American version of the Kingsman agency depicted in the first film.

As ever, expect more on this as and when it develops – and if you’ve not checked out Kingsman yet, seriously, what are you waiting for?!
