A Kickstarter is underway for the second issue of the acclaimed cyberpunk comic Killtopia.

The plot involves Crash, the world’s first sentient mech, who could be the key to curing a machine-spread plague wreaking havoc upon the populace of future Tokyo. Rookie bounty hunter Shinji is the first to encounter him, and the pair now become stalked across the city by tech-enhanced killers, ruthless gangsters and the world’s greatest bloodsport champion, all of whom will stop at nothing to claim their prize.

As well print and digital copies of the 53-page full-colour story, backer rewards include art prints, sketches, t-shirts, beer mats, branded flash drives, digital copies of writer Dave Cook’s high-quality back catalogue, and a replica prop of a pistol used in the comic itself.

At the time of writing, the campaign had been live for a matter of hours and already reached its £4,500 funding goal, and such was the widely positive (and award-winning) reception the first issue received from readers and critics alike (including us), the tally will doubtless continue to rise.

The campaign runs to the end of March and you can check out all the details here.
