A Kickstarter campaign is underway for the first volume of Wired, a hardboiled noir with some sci-fi thrown in.

Taking place in the purgatorial region of West Lothian in Scotland, the story follows police detectives Briggs and Smith as they investigate a fight in a nightclub. After the perp they’re after fails to show up on CCTV, they are soon pulled into a mystery involving sinister MIB types, assassins and a bit of time travel, and going by some of the (rather impressive) artwork shown on the campaign page, also some cloning/genetic engineering shenanigans.

The 75-page story is written by James Lundy, the mastermind behind the creation and development of Edinburgh Comic Con, so you can rest assured the man knows his stuff and that his knowledge of the medium will be applied to create something special. So, no pressure or anything.
