The upcoming Kickboxer redo, Kickboxer: Vengeance, has found itself a US distribution deal. RJL Entertainment has picked up the US rights for John Stockwell’s movie, with a December release now planned.

In addition to a returning Jean-Claude Van Damme, this new Kickboxer has a mightily-impressive cast of athletes and fighters on board, with Guardian of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista, Captain America: Winter Soldier’s Georges St-Pierre, Deadpool’s Gina Carano, Term Life’s Cain Velasquez, and X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Alain Moussi.

The plot of Kickboxer: Vengeance features an updated telling of the 1989 film’s story, this time featuring Moussi’s Kurt Sloane heading to Thailand to avenge the death of his brother courtesy of Bautista’s nefarious Tong Po. To help in his battle, Sloane seeks the mentorship and training of the legendary Master Durand, played by JCVD.

The current plan calls for Kickboxer: Vengeance to hit selected cinemas in December as well as being made available On Demand.
