With Jurassic World 2 on the horizon, all that’s really known about the plot of the film is that the story and action will be bigger than Colin Trevorrow’s 2015 mega-hit. Those are the words of director Juan Antonio Bayona, at least. Well now comes some interesting news on just what sort of bigger action we can expect to see…

Over the last few days, My Entertainment World has updated their Jurassic World 2 listing to reveal that shooting is due to start next Monday and that the sequel will film in the likes of London, Hawaii, and Wales. What’s most interesting, though, is the plot details listed by the site. It’s there that we’re told: “The adventures at the Jurassic World resort and theme park continue as the government has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.”

Obviously this is far from an official reveal or definite confirmation, but… but… but weaponized dinosaurs doing battle?!?! That sounds all kinds of crazy in the best possible way. And given how Jurassic World looked at the idea of weaponizing Raptors, it’s not completely outside the realms of possibility to think that the sequel may look to amp that up to the next level. It goes without saying, of course, to treat this all as merely a rumour at this stage – but what a cool rumour it is!

Jurassic World 2, which will be the second of a trilogy of films, currently has a cast made up of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, and Justice Smith, and the film is presently booked in for a June 22nd, 2018 release.
