After seemingly having every available actor in Hollywood linked to the role, 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool sequel has finally found its Cable!

So, who has landed the gig of the time-travelling, metal-armed, badass son of Cyclops? Brad Pitt? Michael Shannon? Liam Neeson? David Harbour? Stephen Lang? Russell Crowe? Kyle Chandler?

No, the man who will be lining up alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth is Josh Brolin.

The Hollywood Reporter initially broke the news of the No Country for Old Men, Old Boy, Jonah Hex, W. and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For star joining Deadpool 2, and then Ryan Reynolds chimed in with his thoughts by taking to Twitter:

It’s believed that Brolin – who also, of course, plays Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – has penned a four-movie deal with Fox, which seems likely to include the already-confirmed Deadpool 3 and X-Force.

Brolin joins a Deadpool 2 that also has Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz on board as fellow badass merc mutant, Domino. To be helmed by John Wick’s David Leitch, the sequel will hit the big screen at a to-be-confirmed 2018 date.
