Joseph Quinn, who recently portrayed fan-favourite Stranger Things character Eddie Munson, will star in the A Quiet Place spinoff film, Day One.

The horror project is being led by Lupita Nyong’o and directed by Michael Sarnoski, the filmmaker behind Nicolas Cage’s Pig, from an original idea by franchise creator John Krasinski. The story is being kept top secret, but we know it will be set in the same universe as A Quiet Place Parts One and Two but will follow different characters in a different location. As the title suggests, the spinoff will be set on the first day that the franchise’s sound-sensitive alien creatures arrived on Earth, bringing with them social collapse.

Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will produce via Platinum Dunes. Krasinski will produce via his Sunday Night banner with partner Allyson Seeger executive producing. In addition to this spinoff, a third instalment of the main A Quiet Place film series is in the works and set for release sometime in 2025.

Joseph Quinn will next be seen in Hoard, a drama about a relationship between mother and son from writer-director Luna Carmoon, which is currently in post-production. A Quiet Place: Day One is scheduled for release on March 8th, 2024.
