With Tom Holland’s Web-head having now seen his first solo movie swing to the big screen, we already know that there’s plenty of future outings planned for this latest cinematic Spidey. And now comes an update on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, Homecoming director Jon Watts is currently in talks to return for the Homecoming sequel. Given how amazing – or should that be ‘spectacular’ or ‘superior’, maybe? – a job Cop Car helmer Watts did with the Wall-crawler, it’s not exactly a huge surprise to hear that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are keen to have Watts return to tackle Spidey once more.

Having been on release for a fortnight now, Spider-Man: Homecoming has already brought in an impressive $470 million at the global box office. While we know that Holland’s Spider-Man will be present in next May’s Avengers: Infinity War and its May 2019 follow-up, Holland is also signed up for two further solo outings as Spidey.

As ever, expect more on July 2019’s Homecoming sequel as it continues to develop.
