With his Jungle Book redo currently wowing audiences, director Jon Favreau has revealed that he’s returning to work with Marvel Studios.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Favreau revealed, “I’m going to be executive producing the Avengers films with the Russo brothers, which I’m very excited about. I talk to them about it all the time. I’ve worked in both in front of and behind the camera with Marvel and I really love what they’re doing right now. It’s a really exciting time to be over there. I’ve seen a rough cut of Civil War and it’s fantastic. We’re constantly looking for things to do together, and now I’m freed up.”

As well as appearing as Happy Hogan in Marvel’s Iron Man movies, Favreau also directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2 as well as serving as a producer on Iron Man 3 and the two Avengers movies we’ve seen. And now he’s seemingly confirmed that he’ll be working on the Russo’s two-part Avengers: Infinity War adventure.

At present, Avengers: Infinity War Part I is set for April 27th, 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War Part II is in place for April 26th, 2019.
