Lone Wolf gamebook author Joe Dever has died aged 60.

Dever was admitted to hospital at the end of October. He passed away early morning, Wednesday 30th November due to complications from bile duct surgery.

Dever was best known for his Lone Wolf adventure gamebooks which launched in 1984. He was a keen fantasy wargamer and wrote and produced extensive fantasy gaming products. He produced a total of 32 Lone Wolf, 3 of which have yet to be published. The Lone Wolf series has been published in over 30 countries, translated into 18 languages, and has sold in excess of 12 million copies to date.

The thoughts of all at STARBURST go out to the family, friends, and fans of Joe Dever at this sad time. Rest in peace, sir.
