Grammy, The latest short by Jill Sixx Gevargizian is to have its world premiere at the 2015 Scream Queen Filmfest in Tokyo.

The micro-short (it’s under two minutes, but incredibly effective) will be screened before the opening night film Berkshire Country.
Regular readers will be familiar with Jill, as we’ve championed the director from her first short, Call Girl, which starred Laurence R. Harvey and Tristen Risk and screened at last year’s Film4 FrightFest and at a special STARBURST event at Manchester’s Fab Café, where both Jill and Laurence were in attendance. The film has gone down incredibly well all over the world, with Japan particularly taking it to their hearts. Since then, she’s gone from strength to strength, successfully crowdfunding another short film, The Stylist, due next year. She also acted as assistant director on The Soska Sister’s segment in The ABCs of Death 2, and directed the brilliant post-credit stinger, once again with Harvey.

More festival screenings may be forthcoming for Grammy, before it airs on Eli Roth’s Crypt TV later this year. The Scream Queen Filmfest takes begins October 24th and finishes on Halloween night, and highlights the fantastic female talent in the horror genre.
