Following on from previous announcements this week regarding returning cast members, it’s now been confirmed that Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing is another who will be a part of Marvel’s The Defenders.

The character of Colleen Wing has yet to actually be seen in any of Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive shows, but she’ll be a major part of next year’s Marvel’s Iron Fist, which features Finn Jones as the titular hero.

In the same way that Marvel Entertainment confirmed the returns of Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville’s Malcolm, Charrie-Anne Moss’ Jeri Hogarth, Rachael Taylor’s Trish Walker, Scott Glenn’s Stick and Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple earlier in the week, the news was revealed in an announcement video, as shown below:

The aforementioned returning names join a cast for Marvel’s The Defenders that currently includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Additionally, it’s believed that Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher will have a presence in the mini-series, too. Sigourney Weaver is signed on as the villain of the piece, although her character is being kept under wraps right now.

Marvel’s Daredevil’s Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie are acting as showrunners on Marvel’s The Defenders, with the eight-episode show arriving on Netflix at a TBC 2017 date. As for Marvel’s Iron Fist, that’s set to hit Netflix on March 17th, 2017.
