With the Kingsman sequel starting to gather some serious pace lately, Matthew Vaughn’s follow-up has now added Jeff Bridges to its ranks.

The iconic Bridges, an Oscar winner and just simply The Dude, confirmed the news by taking to his Twitter account. At this early stage, there’s no word on just what role Bridges will have in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, but him being a part of anything is always great news as far as we’re concerned.

To reveal his casting, Bridges simply put out the below message:

This news sees 66-year-old Bridges join a cast that includes Taron Egerton as Eggsy, Mark Strong as Merlin, Halle Berry as the Head of the CIA, Pedro Pascal as “Jack Daniels”, and unknown roles for Channing Tatum, Edward Holcroft (who looks set to play a different role to the Charlie gig he had in the first film), and Sir Elton John. Additionally, Bridges’ The Big Lebowski co-star Julianne Moore has been in extensive talks to play the sequel’s villain.

At present, Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set for a June 16th, 2017 release.
