With Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Daredevil now confirmed for a second season, the show may also have found its Bullseye.

Latino Review, so often on the money with their scoops, is reporting that Marvel is currently looking to sign up Jason Statham as their Bullseye. Statham is best known for franchises like The Transporter and The Expendables, and can currently be seen in Spy.

The outlet’s source claims that The Stath was spotted meeting with certain Marvel personnel earlier this week, and it’s not the first time that Statham has been linked to Daredevil. A couple of years back, when 20th Century Fox was frantically looking to reboot the film before the cinematic rights reverted back to Marvel, Statham was in talks for a role in the film, with some even speculating that he was in talks to play the Guardian Devil himself.

Bullseye debuted back in 1976’s Daredevil #131, created by the legendary duo of Marv Wolfman and John Romita Sr. One of the world’s most lethal assassins and marksman, the rogue has carried out a plethora of dastardly deeds throughout this life, including killing Matt Murdock’s ‘one true’, Elektra. The villain was, of course, played by Colin Farrell back in 2003’s Ben Affleck-starring Daredevil movie.

As well as Bullseye, it’s also believed that Season 2 of Daredevil will introduce us to Mysterio, Mr. Fear and Elektra. For the eagle-eyed of you out there, there’s a super brief tease of Bullseye in the show’s first season.

Daredevil is set to begin shooting its second season at the end of this month.

Treat all of this as a rumour for now, and as ever, expect more on this as it develops.
