With FX’s Legion now on screens and getting a whole lot of love, the other new mutant-driven show – FOX’s upcoming live-action X-Men series – has found its second cast member.

Marvel has moved to announce that Jamie Chung has landed the role of Clarice Fong, aka Blink. Described as a sarcastic and lively tomboy, the current blurb on the character reads: “Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home’, Clarice is slowly becoming herself again.”

The Blink character first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #317 back in 1994, created by Scott Lobdell and Joe Madureira. A powerful teleportation-based mutant, she also appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past as played by Fan Binging. As for Jamie Chung, she’s someone who has comic book show experience, having recently appeared as Valerie Vale in Gotham.

Already confirmed for FOX’s currently-untitled mutant show is Satisfaction’s Blair Redford, who is playing Sam, “the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network.”

The focus of the series will largely be on two ordinary parents who discover that their children have mutant abilities. Forced to go on the run from the government, the family join an underground network of mutants struggling to survive in this hostile world.
