After two turns as Charles Xavier, it appears that James McAvoy will finally be going bald for the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.
When asked about the film by The Huffington Post, the actor responded, “I’ll be older in this one. I think I’m losing my hair finally.”
Professor X, of course, is one of the most famous chrome-domes in the comic book world. Having played the character in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, it seems as if McAvoy’s Xavier, at least in appearance, will be moving more towards Patrick Stewart’s version of the character.
In terms of plot, very little is known about APOCALYPSE other than it will focus on, err, Apocalypse, one of the biggest bads in the X-Men world. The film will seemingly take place in the 1980s, largely following the younger cast members first seen in FIRST CLASS. That said, there has been talk of some of the older, original X-MEN cast returning once more. If that happens, we guess that means more time travel…
To be directed by Bryan Singer, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is currently set for a May 27th, 2016 release.
