By now, any well-versed genre fan knows that there’s certain movies that you simply have to stick around and watch the entire credits sequence just in case an extra scene or two is included. Well, with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hitting the big screen later this month, director James Gunn has moved to reveal that the sequel will actually have five post-credits scenes.

Following an early press screening, it was said that Guardians 2 will have four post-credits scenes. Apparently not, though, as Gunn has moved to correct those reports on Twitter and instead clarify that there are indeed five further scenes to stick around for. This comes hot on the heels of the writer/director revealing that he’ll be back for the already-confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Initially, the Marvel Cinematic Universe efforts had just one post-credits scene apiece, although the ante was upped to two extra scenes with Joss Whedon’s Avengers Assembles.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 rockets to UK screens on April 27th, with a global release to follow in early May.
