With us having recently been treated to the truly awesome crossover comic book adventure of Jack Burton and Snake Plissken – Kurt Russell’s iconic characters in Big Trouble in Little China and Escape From New York, respectively – now comes word that there’s more to come from Jack and his Pork-Chop Express.

As per Screen Rant, it’s been announced that BOOM! Studios are getting to work on Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack. Telling Jack’s final tale, what’s even more encouraging is that John Carpenter is on writing duties along with Borderlands 2’s Anthony Burch.

The four-issue series will start this September, with the official synopsis as below:

The year is 2020, and hell is literally on Earth. Ching Dai, sick of relying on screw-ups like Lo Pan to do his bidding, has broken the barriers between Earth and the infinite hells, and declared himself ruler of all. Sixty-year-old Jack Burton is alone in a tiny corner of Florida with only his broken radio to talk to, until one day it manages to pick up a message. Someone is out there in the hellscape, and they know a way to stop Ching Dai.

Consider us completely and utterly sold! And while September may seem forever away, you can at least amp your excitement levels up even further by checking out the main cover for the first issue of what promises to be a rollercoaster of a ride:
