We’ve known for a while now that there was to be a sequel to 2015’s Goosebumps, although the return of Jack Black had yet to be confirmed. Until now, that is.

It was presumed that Black would be returning to play R.L. Stine, although there has been nothing official on that front until Stine himself has taken to Twitter to confirm that Black will be back. In addition to that, the legendary Stine has also confirmed that fan favourite character Slappy is another who will be back for what is now titled Goosebumps: Horrorland.

As Stine puts it:

For fans of the Goosebumps books, the Horrorland tales are some of Stine’s most beloved, with them being set in a huge theme park which is deemed the scariest place on the entire planet.

The current plan has Goosebumps: Horrorland pegged for a September 21st, 2018 release, with Rob Letterman to again direct.
