With Avengers: Infinity War currently shooting, it looks as if we may now know what the title is for the fourth outing for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

If you remember back, originally the third and fourth Avengers movies were to be called Avengers: Infinity War – Part I and Avengers: Infinity War – Part II. Those plans changed a little while ago, with this next movie dropping the Part I and being called simply Avengers: Infinity War. As for the fourth film, that remained untitled. Now, though, it looks as if Zoe Saldana may have let the cat out of the bag.

Speaking to the BBC’s Lizo Mzimba as the UK premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Saldana explained, “I think that the Guardians just shot their part when it comes to Infinity War, the first part. And we all have to go back for Gauntlet later this yet.”

Obviously this is nothing official at this stage, but it could well be that the fourth Avengers picture will be titled Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet. Given how Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet will have a huge part to play in these two Avengers movies, Infinity Gauntlet makes a lot of sense.

With both of these films being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo – the directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War – production is already underway and both movies will shoot back-to-back.

At present, Avengers: Infinity War is set for May 4th, 2018, with the follow-up set for May 3rd, 2019.
