There’s an old joke in the comic book industry that a monkey on the cover almost guarantees that people will read it.

That’s why (so they say) they are so many ape-like antics in the pages of Golden Age comics. We hope that there’s truth in the matter, as a team of independent comic book creators have gotten together to produce an anthology comic book all about monkey mayhem: Shit Flingers Bestiary.

The collection will feature seven separate simian soldiers and is set in the 15th century. Once men but now locked into a more furry form thanks to a witches curse, this very special team has a secret base underneath the Sistine Chapel and is led by Thomas De Torquemada himself.

The book brings together some of the brightest and best of Britain’s new wave of comic talent.  Artists include Toxic Storm artist Renzo Rodriguez, Andrew Hartmann of 100% BIODEGRADABLE fame and Cosmogenesis creator Tony Suleri. Writers include Jack Chambers, Pete McQue and Jimmy Furlong.

This creative hopes to raise the funds to produce this amazing anthology via crowdfunding website Kickstarter. You can find out more here.
