For those looking forward to Gabriel Luna’s Ghost Rider getting his own series, we’ve got some bad news. Courtesy of Deadline, Hulu have decided to pass on the show.

Previously, we’d heard how Luna was to reprise his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. role as the Robbie Reyes incarnation of the Spirit of Vengeance and headline his own Ghost Rider show. From all reports, Hulu and showrunner Ingrid Escajeda butted heads over the ever-familiar creative differences – which led to Hulu deciding not to take the show forward.

While Ghost Rider is currently dead in the water, there is the slight chance that Marvel may be able to find an alternative home for the series. Even more so, given that Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb had been championing the show as ushering in what he called the company’s Adventure Into Fear plan, which would lead Marvel to explore their more darker characters.

Despite the brakes being put on Ghost Rider, Marvel’s Helstrom series is still moving forward.
