Over the weekend, we got word that there could be some new news dropping on Tuesday in regards to Zack Snyder’s Justice League adventure. Well, a whole load of information has been revealed on the movie. Yes, the movie, not the two movies.

As alluded to above, JoBlo is reporting that there is no longer Justice League Part One and Justice League Part Two. Instead, we’re simply going to get Justice League, a single movie. Also, the outlet reports that the film will have a lighter tone to what we’ve seen so far from the DC Cinematic Universe, which has to date given us Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Plot-wise, as well as the formation of the titular team, the film will also feature Steppenwolf as the main villain, with three Mother Boxes being key to the story. Both Aquaman’s Atlanteans and Wonder Woman’s Amazonians will have one of these boxes, whilst. As for Steppenwolf, he is one of the New Gods and is the uncle of Darkseid. Essentially, he’s immortal and has a whole host of powers to cause problems for the Justice League.

Other details that have surfaced surround the JL team involve the look of the film’s titular heroes. Ben Affleck’s Batman will get an updated armor-esque suit by the end of the film, with that armor fitting under his existing costume. The Caped Crusader will also have a new vehicle called “The Flying Fox” that will be used to transport him and his cohorts. Where The Flash is concerned, Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster will have a costume made up of stolen tech, including heating tiles. Ray Fisher’s Cyborg will be 100% CGI when it comes to his costume (can anyone say Green Lantern?), whilst Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will be in the same attire sported during the big battle sequence of Batman v Superman.

Another interesting tidbit to come out centres on Willem Dafoe’s role in the film. We’d previously been told that he will be playing a “good guy” who may or may not have ties to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Now it’s being reported that Dafoe is to play Vulko, who is indeed an Atlantean and someone who is a mentor of Aquaman.

Additionally, Gizmodo has details on a scene between Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen. Taking place in Barry’s apartment and having the Sultan of Speed confronted by Bruce holding a still of Allen from the video footage we saw in Batman v Superman, the exchange reportedly goes as below:

“That’s a person who looks exactly like me but is definitely not,” Barry replies. “Hippie, long hair, very attractive Jewish boy. He drinks milk, I don’t drink milk,” he jokes as Wayne starts to walk over to a red suit standing in the apartment.

“I know you have abilities, I just don’t know what they are,” says Wayne.

“My special skills include viola, web design…” Allen rambles as Wayne examines the suit and notes it’s made of a very specific heat resistant material. “Yeah, I do competitive ice dancing,” Allen says.

“This is the stuff the space shuttle uses to prevent from burning up on re-entry,” says Wayne.

“… Very competitive ice dancing?” quips Allen.

Just then, the film turns to slow-motion as Bruce Wayne hurls one of the razor-sharp, bat-logo-shaped throwing stars he used in Batman v Superman at Allen. Allen looks at it inquisitively as it passes him in slow motion, then, with a profound realisation, grabs it out of the air. Silence, surprise, and then, “You’re the Batman?”

“And you’re fast,” states Wayne.

“That feels like an oversimplification,” says Allen.

Bruce tells Barry he’s putting together a team of people with special abilities because he believes enemies are coming. Barry immediately wants to be a part of it, and Batman can’t help but asked why he’s agreed so quickly.

“I need friends,” says Allen before holding up the Batarang and asking, “Can I keep this?”

So, that’s a whole lot of information to take in, most interestingly that Justice League has been changed from a two-parter to just a single movie.

To be directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League is due to be released on November 10th, 2017.
