Horror Channel FrightFest has announced the line-up for this year’s event, and as one would expect, it’s packed with meaty horror morsels.

The main movie on the opening night is the European Premiere of Sean Brosnan’s My Father Die, and the closing night will see the UK Premiere of Sang-ho Yeon’s Train to Busan.

Over the course of five days, sixty-two feature films will be shown, all incredibly diverse and all terrifyingly horrific. As usual, global horror is up front and in-your-face with a host of World Premieres, such as the Italian Monolith, the Dutch gorefest The Windmill Massacre, South African nightmare From a House on Willow Street, Blood Hunters from Canada, and three debuts from the States, Knucklebones, Enclosure, and the eagerly-awaited Blood Feast remake.

British horror is not ignored either with twelve World Premieres, including Kate Shenton’s Egomaniac, Shaun Robert Smith’s Broken, Jon Ford’s Offensive, Ben Parker’s The Chamber, Marty Stalker’s Hostage to the Devil, Andy Edward’s Ibiza Undead, and Wyndham Price’s Crow.

In the ‘First Blood’ strand, there’s Phillip Escott’s Cruel Summer, Brad Watson’s Hallow’s Eve, James Crow’s House of Salem, Stewart Spark’s The Creature Below, and Lawrie Brewster’s highly anticipated follow-up to Lord of Tears, The Unkindness of Ravens.

Some familiar directors are also showcased, with Rob Zombie’s 31, Adam Wingard’s The Woods, Adam Rifkin’s Director’s Cut, and Darren Lynn Bousman’s Abatoir.

The popular Discovery Screen strand plays host to such films as Fury of the Demon, The Love Witch, Lost Solace, Bad Blood: The Movie, and a restored version of controversial documentary The Killing of America.

More special events, the retrospective program, short films, and guests will be announced in the coming weeks. You can find the full line-up in detail at www.frightfest.co.uk.

Horror Channel FrightFest takes place over five days at the August Bank Holiday, 25th – 29th.

Both full and day passes will be on sale from Saturday, July 2nd at noon, and are only available from the Horror Channel FrightFest website. Single tickets will be available on Saturday, July 23rd.
