Now we finally have the Official release dates and titles for the much anticipated, Hobbit movies…

‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’, is to be released on December 14th, 2012.

The second movie, ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again,’ is to follow a year later on December 13th, 2013.

Tolkien fans will be happy to explain that the first movie derives from the title of the first chapter of the book. Whilst ‘There and back again’ is actually the ‘also known as’ title provided by Tolkien himself.
