Time is running out to get involved with the funding of a great looking short horror, A BLOODSTAINED BUTTERFLY, which will be the first Polish language slasher film.
Written and directed by David McCool, who promises in the promotional blurb:
"A Bloodstained Butterfly is a short horror film, about fifteen minutes in length. Inspired by the slasher genre and video nasties. The story starts with a beautiful woman who is alone at home in a secluded house. It starts off as a traditional slasher film, in that we have the beautiful female lead and a maniac stalking her, but that is just the beginning. The story becomes much more than a slasher film. My plan is to make something original, terrifying, and something that would sit comfortably next to the classics of the horror genre. What I want to give you is the best short horror film you’ve ever seen. In funding this project you will be part of horror history. I’m a British filmmaker based in Poland. A Bloodstained Butterfly will be the first Polish language slasher film. We will be releasing both an English dub of the film, and a Polish language dub".
To see what McCool is actually capable of, check out his first short, SPARKS, which is rather splendid.
The funding closes on Sunday, April 20th at 9pm, and will begin shooting the following week, with an aim to have the short finished in time to submit to FrightFest.
