In some potentially brilliant news, a Parasite TV series is on the way.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has picked up the rights to produce a series based on Bong Joon-ho’s Golden Globe-nommed Parasite. Bong and Vice’s Adam McKay to develop the show.

There’s no word just yet on whether any such Parasite series would operate as a follow-up to Boon’s movie – due for a UK release on February 7th – or whether this small screen offering would be an English language redo of that picture.

Where the Parasite film is concerned, the official blurb on that reads:

Greed and class discrimination threaten the newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan.
