The good old BBFC has done it again, and have refused a certificate for James Cullen Bressack’s brilliant home invasion thriller HATE CRIME, effectively banning it in the UK.

The film was submitted by TheHorrorShow.TV in association with Nerdly.co.uk with the hope of having it play on the VOD site. The film has already played at Manchester’s GRIMMFEST several years ago, and went down a storm.

We reviewed it recently, and had an extensive feature on Bressack in a recent issue of the magazine (#405 – now SOLD OUT!) as part of the INDEPENDENTS DAY feature. The director said this on the decision: “I am honoured to know that my mind is officially too twisted for the UK. So it goes… I find it unbelievable that a film that shows little to no on screen violence and no nudity was actually banned. It just shows the power of what is implied and peoples imagination; and is a testament to the fact that the same crimes that happen in the world are truly horrifying.

All is not lost however, as US-based site The Movie and Music Network have the film available to stream worldwide, for FREE, via this exclusive link.

Thank goodness for the Internet…
