With Rogue One now in the books, next up for the ‘Star Wars Story’ movies is the still-to-be-titled young Han Solo picture – and now that film is looking to bring in two new additions.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Thandie Newton is in negotiations to join the movie, while Phoebe Waller-Bridge is believed to have already signed on to head to a galaxy far, far away. Newton has been recently seen in the phenomenal Westworld series, and Waller-Bridge is likely best known for Broadchurch and Fleabag. It’s also being reported that Waller-Bridge’s role will be a performance capture character similar to what Lupita Nyong’o did with Maz Kanata in The Force Awakens.

Already on board for this Solo movie are Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han, Donald Glover as the young Lando Calrissian, and then unknown roles for Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson.

To be directed by The LEGO Movie’s Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the next Star Wars Story movie will explore how Han Solo became the scruffy-looking nerf-herder we were first introduced to in Mos Eisley back in 1977.

At present, the film is scheduled for a May 25th, 2018 release. Before that, of course, comes Star Wars: The Last Jedi this December.
