The underground aside, pop culture and horror cinema have largely been entwined with one another, most notably with the slasher subgenre. Of the most infamous on-screen killers, with Freddy cracking-wise and Jason taking out the teen trash only to end up in space, it’s Michael Myers who has been largely stayed the same (glossing over Rob Zombie’s reboot, of course).

Fans are baying for blood, and the rumour-mill has been in overdrive, churning out interesting titbits regarding the so-called upcoming HALLOWEEN: THE NEXT CHAPTER. HalloweenMovies.com, however, have been quick to shoot down these rumours. (And they should know, they’re the ‘official’ site for all things Michael Myers.)

A new instalment is in the works, a canonical reboot rather than another insipid sequel. Interested? We sure are. A script is currently being developed. More details as we hear them.
