Jamie Lee Curtis’ final girl icon, Laurie Strode, faces off with the long-lived Michael Myers in Halloween Ends, the third and final film of David Gordon Green‘s franchise reboot. Ahead of the horror pic’s release in cinemas from October 14th, Universal Pictures have released the final trailer for the anticipated conclusion.

Set four years after 2021’s Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends also stars Andi Matichak as Allyson, Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as The Shape. Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, Danny McBride and Gordon Green wrote the screenplay.

“This time, something feels different. He’s more dangerous,” Strode warns in the trailer. “He killed my daughter. But tonight, I will kill him.” As the synopsis teases, Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before – and only one of them will survive.

When we return to Haddonfield, Laurie is living with her granddaughter and finishing writing her memoir. After allowing the spectre of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, she has finally decided to move on with her life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

“Maybe the only way he can die is if I die, too. It all ends… now.” Cue violent deaths, steak knives, screaming, and a whole load of blood.
